Meet the new administrative and scientific leadership of the CRLMB
`A warm welcome back and Happy New Year to all CRLMB members, students, colleagues and friends.
As you may be aware, Centre membership and administrative terms run for three years, and January 1, 2008 marked not only a new year, but also a new three-year administrative term in the CRLMB.
I am pleased to announce that all eligible members have chosen to renew their affiliation with the Centre and, with several new members joining us this year, we boast more than 45 principal, associate and collaborative faculty members.
I would also like to announce that, in the interests of distributing the growing responsibilities of running the centre, members were asked at renewal time to volunteer for positions as research theme leaders or steering committee members, and these positions are now filled.
Before introducing our new appointees, and on behalf of everyone affiliated with the CRLMB, I would like to sincerely thank our outgoing research theme leaders: Drs. Elin Thordardottir (language acquisition), David Ostry (speech science modeling) , Karsten Steinhauer (neural bases of language) and Debra Titone (visual language processing).
I would also like to thank all of the members who served on the funds, outreach, student affairs and membership committees.
All of these individuals have contributed their talent and creativity to help the Centre realize an impressive set of accomplishments, and have laid the groundwork for an exciting future for Quebec language scientists.
Now, on behalf of our entire membership and the greater academic community, I would like to welcome our new research and administrative leaders.

I trust you will all join me in thanking her for her efforts on our behalf!
