CRLMB Listserv
The CRLMB listserv is open to those wishing up to the minute information about Centre news and events, in addition to that which is available on our website or our "Latest on Language" weblog. Those who are registered on the listserv are invited to share topical news with your colleagues by sending an e-mail to crlmb@lists.mcgill.ca. Student Affairs Committee
Composition
The Student Affairs Committee comprises six members: three principal or associate centre members and three student liaisons. The committee represents at least two of the universities involved in the Centre.
Responsibilities
- overseeing graduate students' and postdoctoral researchers' interests and their integration into the Centre
- Maintaining a database of student members of the Centre
- Allocating travel grant monies to graduate students through the Centre's Student Travel Grant programme
- Choosing recipients for the annual postdoctoral supplement and biennial Postdoctoral Fellowship
- Planning the CRLMB student research day, in collaboration with the Outreach Committee

Outreach Committee
Composition
The Outreach Committee comprises at least four members, three of whom are drawn from our Principal and Associate membership. The committee also includes one student liaison. It represents at least two of the universities involved in the Centre. The Director is an ex-officio member of this committee.
Responsibilities
- Promoting knowledge transfer within the scientific community and to the public
- Selecting speakers for the CRLMB Seminar Series
- Organizing the CRLMB community lecture series "Lectures on Language."
- Planning biennial symposia hosted by the Centre

Composition
The Funds Committee comprises three principal or associate centre members and the director (ex-officio). The committee represents at least two of the universities involved in the Centre.
Responsibilities
- Allocating funding made directly to the Centre, the majority of which is used to support funding opportunities for our members
- Reviewing applications and selecting recipients of the Centre's New Initiative funding programme
- Reviewing external funding applications made on behalf of the Centre

Advisory Board
Composition
Members of the Board include the Vice Principals (Research) or delegates from the four member Universities, the Deans of the McGill member Faculties, the Director, three internal member representatives and two external representatives. Members serve for terms of five years.
Responsibilities
The Centre operates in accordance with the regulations set by the Offices of the Vice-Principals (Research) of the member Universities. The CRLMB Advisory Board meets once a year to receive the annual report of the Centre, to officially approve newly-elected members, and to give advice on the activities and productivity of the centre.
